Restauranteur George W. Rector (1878-1947) ran Rector's, a famous 'champagne and lobster' restaurant on Broadway. Rector's was popular with celebrities (he even appeared in the film Every Day's a Holiday, with Mae West) until Prohibition forced it to close. George went on to write several books, articles in the Saturday Evening Post, and a popular newspaper column. Publishing Note First published in 1933.
