Ferguson: Night in Glengyle

Alec Maitland, returns to London after several years abroad, meets a former friend, now a government official, who offers him a commission as an undercover agent to investigate some strange occurrences with political ramifications. Maitland accepts, but soon discovers the job has put a target on his back, as he finds himself on the run, pursued by a charge of murder. He must rely on his wits while on the run and figure out who the actual killer is. Note Movie rights were sold to MGM in 1935, and it was supposed to have been filmed in 1954, but apparently was never produced.
